Home / Design Projects / Curriculum Navigation Redesign

Selected as a Design Fellow for INSPIRE+, a youth-led initiative by Pro Youth and Families focused on addressing public health challenges in the Sacramento region. The fellowship centered on combating substance abuse through mental health awareness and accessible support tools for youth and young adults.

Background

  1. Conducted community-centered research through empathy interviews and surveys

  2. Applied the Design Thinking process to define problems, generate ideas, and prototype solutions

  3. Designed and tested a youth-friendly, inclusive resource website for mental health support

  4. Co-presented our solution at the Youth Tech Health (YTH) Live Conference 2022, engaging with cross-sector public health professionals

Worked in a 5-person team to design a digital resource hub promoting mental wellness and self-care among youth. We used human-centered design practices to identify key needs and barriers in accessing mental health support.
